Yorkiemoma Posted March 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2007 We will be going on our first cruise ( Western Carribbean ) from New Orleans leaving October 6. I was wondering what the weather and temp might be during our cruise during the day and night. A girl has to know what to wear. Thanks
jleq Posted March 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Your high temps will probably be in the high 70s-low 80s. It will cool down 15-20 degrees at night. In the Caribbean, be prepared for rain. That'll be the case whatever time of year you go. Most Caribbean rainstorms are short-lived [less than an hour].
PhotoPete Posted March 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2007 It is still rather warm in New Orleans in early October. Highs in the mid 80's are common. Still at risk for a hurricane or tropical storm. October is New Orleans' driest month.
PACURN Posted March 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2007 We did the same route but out of Tampa in Oct. a couple of years ago. The weather was great. We got a sprinkle in Costa Maya but it was warm. It felt great. As a previous poster said it is still Hurricane Season but the chance of a hurricane happening that late is slim. I love cruising in Oct.
