Live from Denali on the way to Cruise

HI Folks--

We're in Denali- its the rainy season so make sure you bring warm clothes and a rain jacket. We have been to the Fairbanks Princess--nice hotel ,people are helpful. The riverboat cruise tour is a must . You learn a lot about Alaska and the people there. That morning we did gtold mining tour--also informative and fun. If you are a souvenir shopper like I qm, ther things were really reasonable on that tour.

Then, they bussed us to Denali. YOU MUST do the Tundra all day wilderness tour-- its amazing. We saw lots of wildlife and scenery second to none. We also did the white water rafting from the Princess hotel--it was scary but I'm so glad we did it ( we're all ladies in our 40's ,and late 50's) The men stayed behind-- they really missed some excitement if you've never been in a raft with high waves hitting you. Today we're off by train to Whittier to meet up with the

Island Princess. It's a 9 hour train ride. Hopefully today will be like the other days and the rain will stop and the skys will clear. It's really hard sitting looking out the window at 10 p.m and its bright sunlight.

Oh one caveate-- if you are traveoling in a large group-- we're 11-- ,make sure your travel agent confirms that you are all on the same tours and are seated together--things like that-- we found our group was being divided on tours-- and Princess couldn't help us as everything was fully booked.
