Hi--I have not found any answers so I am asking one.

Has anyone used the tour company called Marineland-- ?

they offer a tour to Stingray City Sandbar on a relatively new

vessel that has huge steps going into the water ?

We have 6 kids, 7 adults, that i want to take.

Not sure if the 1 and 2 yrs old will get in.

the ships price is $49.99 for adult /child.

I dont care about the snorkling there,, too many people.

any comments would be lovely-

thanks Donnakg:confused:

I haven't done the tour itself, since we have our own boat there, but I've seen their boat out at Stingray City and it's very nice. Easiest stairs down to the water I've seen out of all the usual excursion boats, and the guides seem nice enough when we've chatted briefly.

yes,

i have done the tour.

the boat is nice.

its the nicest boat on the island to do this tour.

jet engines, under water viewing, great speakers.

foreign guides doing tour

you will not snorkel - sand bar is 3 feet deep.

the boat has a nice hydraulic lift at the back…

boat is nice…

for the same money i send my friends to nat geo and stingray city combo tour…

but if you want the best boat - go for it...

We also used them about a year ago. It was great. We only had about 30 people on our boat so it was not crowded at all. It rained on the way back so the covered area was nice too.

More recently we did a tour that included Hell, the turtle farm and stingray city (not with this company). That boat was the cattle car that people speak of, jammed pack with people and we got soaked just heading out to the site and coming back, so no chance to dry off. I was really wishing we were on the Marineland boat.
