pacificoclan Posted May 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2008 Has anyone done the all inclusive resort thru carnival at the Mismayloa Resort? Any info would be great. Thanks
ReadyToFloat Posted May 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2008 We've not done the beach excursion via Carnival, though we have stayed in the past at the La Jolla de Mismaloya. Pros: It's a very nice spot along a small bay Quick jump out to Los Arcos for snorkeling from boats right at the beach Pools are very nice Cons: The beach is pretty small There's not much around the resort It takes a while to get there (around 25 minutes) My suggestion? Also consider the Krystal (within walking distance) or the Westin (short cab ride) and the hotel right across from the pier. You'd have a very similar experience, and it could be much less expensive (depending on how much you want to eat or drink). You could probably also book a massage at the Krystal and might still be less than the ship excursion!
cacy6893076 Posted March 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2009 I actually do recommend mismaloya, it is secluded and off the beaten path, am trying to decide if i want to atake the cab thee, as i love the lifttle path up to the ruins for "night of the iguana" and the view of los arcos, have also styayed at the la jolla. iancal Posted March 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I do not know what the hotel is like, but like the OP said, the beach is small. We had a nice day there..we were staying at an all inclusive futher up the coast. We took the bus to Mis. beach-saw where they filmed Night of the Ig. and ate some food at a small restaurant on the beach. Not certain what the ships tour costs, but you could easily cab it or bus it from the dock for what I suspect would be a fraction of the cost. Then go somewhere else either earlier or later in the day.
