If you had the choice... Allure vs. Silhouette

Hi All,

I hope you all had a good new year! I come here asking for advice.

I'm in the process of booking a cruise for me and my best friend. We've already decided that we want to leave on a 7 day cruise from Miami/Fort Lauderdale on the weekend of March 10-12, 2017. We are looking for an Eastern Carribbean cruise.

What has made every cruise for me in my past were the Friends of Dorothy get togethers. I have numerous lifetime friends from all the cruises I have taken due to them.

RCL and Celebrity both have cruises leaving out of Fort Lauderdale during that weekend, and they both seem pretty attractive, but I need some advice.

My question is: If you were to compare the RCL Allure vs. the Celebrity Silhouette, which one do you think would have the best representation at the FOD? What kind of representation do you think we could expect?

Any words of advice would be appreciated, and I hope you're having a great new year!

Disagree on food. Our food on Eclipse was terrible, never saw prime rib sliced so thinly. Celebrity really cut food budgets, at least on our cruise.

A RCI regular is posting a review of the Silhouette, maybe too late for you but he seems to favour Celebrity....
