Peat Taylor Tours

We are sailing on the Breeze this weekend and are looking into excursions. We saw Peat Taylor offering the Dunns River Falls and Ocean horseback ride for over half the price of the same excursion offered by Carnival. Is there a difference between the two? Has anyone done this excursion?

Yes! WORTH IT! We rode a bus to Dunn's River then afterwards since it was the hubs & I doing the beach horseback, we had our own bus to drop us off then an SUV came back to pick us up. The horseback ride was kinda sketchy looking. Off the main road was a pasture & they pulled a couple of horses up to the stand as we mounted. They guides lead you through the slums of the countryside then end up wading through a beach. Afterwards when the chauffeur came back for us, we had time so he took us to The Jerk Centre for authentic Jamaican Jerk. Then he took us to the city center for free rum tasting. Mind you the Jerk Centre & city center were bc he offered to show us around not bc we signed up for it. Our driver was very hospitable. We had him drop us off at Margaritaville then we just walked back to the terminal from there.

Here's the link to our GoPro video. It's of Ocho Rios & Gr Cayman on the Victory. You have to either view from your computer or the desktop version of YouTube.

Oh & the Red Stripe we were drinking as we entered Dunn's River Falls....Peat had for sale (and bottles of water) on the bus for $2/ bottle (I think...something ridiculously cheap) so take some small bills. Also the lockers at Dunn's River were something odd like $12?? but you got $5?? (deposit) back when you return the key. I can't remember exactly so make sure you take singles with you.

Thank you so much for recommending Peat Taylor. We used them for these two excursions, and they were absolutely amazing. Hands down. We had Peat Jr., aka "Repeat" and he was out of this world.
