First Cruise - Carnival Breeze

Hi all,

Have been following the forums to help me decide on my first cruise. Im planning for a 2 day Carnival Breeze cruise from Miami to Bahamas on November 22.

I'm confused between aft balcony or spa balcony.

Spa balcony would not make much sense as we will have only 2 nights to use it but would love to be in a serene deck with a covered balcony.

But so many people opined that spa deck balconies are not covered which render them practically useless. If so will the panorama deck makes more sense?

Also should I call carnival before booking in order to ensure I get a good deal irrespective of the rates show online in their site?

How do I find which is the port side while selecting the room?

Anything else I need to know as a first time cruiser?

Thanks in advance for all inputs.

Regards,

AD

the rates you see is the rate you pay.

Carnival does not allow discounting in any way.

the location -the higher on the ship the more you will pay.

Its your first cruise and one that is only going to be 2 days.

you get on Thursday-- and are off on Saturday morning.

so basically you have Friday.

I suggest paying a lower rate and going with the empress deck. towards the aft elevator for less traveling

We took the spa balcony on the SPA deck..as you said its not much..just 2 days but this is just to get a hang of cruising and whether we enjoy it much.

Its a lot of expense and trouble for jus 2 days but it fits right into our schedule..

port side is left side 4letters in each word

starboard is right side

port side does not mean the side that faces the port either. it varies each week the way a ship will dock in each port
