cruzilove Posted June 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Has anyone been on the cruise that attends the Grand Prix race? If so, i have a few questions: 1. How are the seats at the race? Do you get to see alot of the race? 2. Are there any social events with the drivers/owners of the cars? 3. Would you do it again?

chelseabelsea Posted June 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Hi! We just got back a couple weeks ago from the Star Breeze Monaco Grand Prix cruise, happy to answer questions... 1) seats at the race were awesome, in the top half of the K grandstand. The view was of the hard turn at the harbor and the dog-leg headed toward the pool. Overlooking the harbor, fabulous view.(bring a hat, no shade at the grandstand) Keep in mind that Windstar also provides grandstand tickets to the day before, when the F1 drivers are practicing and qualifying. We also got to see the Renault series run, and F2. 2) no social events with the actual drivers, cars or teams. WS did bring onboard Bob Varsha who gave several great briefings on F1 in the run-up to the race. He was GREAT! 3) we might do the GP again, but likely not with Windstar; Windstar did a great job with the event itself. We just don't feel that Windstar is for us, so we will likely go with a different cruise line. Also, Windstar arranged for a lovely semi-formal event the night before the race at the Cafe de Paris, at the same square as the famous Monte Carlo casino. It was very nice. Happy to answer more questions ☺️
