I am looking for advice on how to get from/to La Guardia to a hotel near Times Square. We are landing at 4PM, somrushnhour may be a factor. We are a group of eight, and don't mind taking public transit...if itnisneasy...we will have luggage. Thanks

IMO public transit is not easy from LGA. Book a car service like Dial7 or Carmel Limo so you have a fixed price ride.

Another option would be the airport bus for $13/pp. http://www.nycairporter.com Hilton Gardens would be about a 6 block walk up 8th Ave or a quick taxi ride.

Depends on how much luggage you have and how comfortable you are managing it.

We take the Q70 express bus to 74th / Jackson and transfer to the subway. $2.75 per person; get a metro card in LGA; up to 4 people can share a pay per ride card.

If that won't work for you, I agree with the suggestion of a car service so you know what you'll pay, rather than being on the meter in a cab, price dependent on traffic.

Recommended car services include Dial 7, Carmel, and Allstate. You can often find coupons online.

Q70 Limited and the M60 SBS (Select Bus Service) both now have luggage racks. The Q70 Limited will soon become SBS and 24 hours.

Select Bus Service is a proof of payment system where you swipe your metorcard and get a proof of payment at the stop not on the bus. Board any door and has limited stops. I use the M60 from LGA to the N/Q train when traveling to LGA.
