Dunns Waterfalls with kids

Hi everyone,

We will be there in February and was wondering how are the falls for kids 5 and 8? Heard some people saying it was too dangerous but RCI is listing the excursion ok for the family.

My 8 year old son hated it. He was terrified the entire time. You can't see under the water and have no idea what you are stepping on. You could step on a rock, gravel or step in a hole.

If it was my children, I would say they are too young. There are a number of spots where the water comes rushing at you and I would be worried about that child and their footing/grasp. Unless you did a private tour and it was just you and the group leader but I would still be leery.

As another option - there was a family with a small child in our group, but the Mother and older son (14) did the climb while the father and the young girl (likely around 4) played at the different sections of the falls using the stairs.
