Helsinki - Transportation from South harbour and Katajankka harbour to Market Square

We are cruising the Regent Voyager to the Baltic, and we will be in Helsinki on Tuesday, June 6, docking at the Katajanka Terminal. We want to get to Market Square to take the ferry to Suomenlinna Fortress. What public transit do we take from this location to get to Market Square? Please provide specific details!!!

I assume you mean August 6th?

0.6 mile easy walk along the harbour is the best option.

But if you prefer public transit the only real option is tram 4T

It stops between quay ERA and the ferry teminal. (Its the end stop so don't worry if tram looks to be going in wrong direction.)

Get off at 4th stop, "Ritarihuone" on Alexander Street. (To the left you'll now have the back side of the Presidential Palace, and on the right side the House of Noblity in the park and further forward the former Senate house)

Go forward to next corner and turn left into the short and narrow Helena Street that will take you straight to the Market Square.

Or get off the tram one stop later at stop "Senaatintori" and see the Senate Square and the Cathedral before going down to the Market.
