bchbuumm Posted January 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2006 We are going on our first cruise with Carnival in March.... and I was wondering is room service included at no extra charge?? Do they ad tips to your bill?? Or do you tip at the door?? Thanks sooo much.... (its nice to know these things before you go!)
Andee Posted January 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Room service is free. We always tip a couple of dollars, but have only ordered continental breakfast or a cheese/fruit plate. If we ordered an entire meal, we'd tip more.
springtxbill Posted January 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2006 It is free but tip when they deliver it.:)
Cotton Posted January 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Above is correct. There is no charge for room service items (other than alcoholic beverages). You should tip the delivery person each time, as it will be a different person each time. I tip $1 for coffee and Danish/croissants, but $2 for larger order such as sandwiches, crudites & dip, etc.
Arwenmark Posted January 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Yes tip when stuff arrives as those people are not part of the regular Ten dollars per person per day tips you are charged. Unless your cabin steward brings it in which case you can tip or not. I usually do anyway.
