Rental Car at Port Everglades - Drop off Luggage First

First, I want to thank everyone for the advice on renting a car to get to Port Everglades from PBI. In going to the ship, I was wondering whether it makes sense to first drop off luggage and have one passenger wait to get onto the ship and the other drop off the rental car or if it makes more sense to just have everyone go to the car rental office to drop off the car and take the shuttle together to the port.

Navigating the port twice can be a pain. Keep everyone with you, drop off the rental and head over together. Do this before 11am and it will be a breeze for you.

Thanks very much. We're actually arriving at PBI at 10:20 so I don't think we can get our rental car and be to the rental lot in Fort Lauderdale by 11:30.

You'll still be fine, it's only 2.5 miles from the airport car rental center to Port Everglades. If you rent from Budget or Thrifty, their off airport locations are less then a mile from the cruiseport.
