B2B cruising Alaska

I have done 2 B2Bs in Alaska (NB and SB) and enjoy it very much.

My first cruise to Alaska was very rainy and I didn't get to do much. My thinking of doing a B2B was that hopefully I would have one good week. Since I changed the time in which I was cruising to Alaska, I have had much better weather. There is so much too do in Alaska- having 2 days in ports is great. Also, flexibility in ports is wonderful since you are visiting them 2x.

I would do an early or late season last minute B2B in a heartbeat.. friends in Vancouver did one on 5 weeks notice on Princess in mid-late May and paid 899 for two weeks in an inside... the one-week rate was 399.... you have to take "leftovers" but there were o'views and a few balconies left.. they just opted for insides and more money to spend ashore on tours etc. These happen every year but you have to have flexibility with airfare to Seattle/Vancouver/Seward/Whittier to do it unless you are fortunate enough to live close enough to drive to port like they did (or take a cab!)
