CrazyCruisingFamily Posted September 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2004 We are booked on the Celebrity Century for September 25th -- this Saturday -- out of Port Everglades. Considering the current weather forecast with respect to Hurricane Jeanne, it is possible that we may be dealyed getting out, just like several ships were with Frances. My questions are: I believe I read in another post that Celbrity offered its passengers a $500 shipboard credit per room plus 50% off a future cruise. Can anyone confirm if this is true? How can a shipboard credit be used -- drinks? gambling? to pay tips? Are there limits as to what it can be spent on? How do vouchers for future cruises work -- is it 50% off the best fare you can find? Is the amount limited by what you paid for your cabin on the initial cruise? Any insight would be appreciated! springtxbill Posted September 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2004 Shipboard credit is whatever you can charge to you seapass account. I would think the 50% off would be on the price at the time of booking and not the catalog price as during the off season you can get more off than that anyway. :)
melaniausa Posted September 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2004 I hope that your cruise is not delayed! One of my cruises got cancelled and I got 50% off. I booked the same length of the cruise and received 50% off the cruise price. There was ni limitation on what type of room that you booked. imsulin Posted September 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2004 I don't believe that shipboard credit can be used to get cash for gambling in the Casino.
springtxbill Posted September 25, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2004 The cash in the casino goes on your Seapass and the credit is used to pay your seapass bill. The cash you get in the casino they figure will mostly end back up in their hands. :)
