Boatyard then Mt. Gay Rum

We are thinking of taking a walk to the Boatyard shortly after the ship arrives, hanging out on the beach until 12-12:30 or so and then grabbing a taxi to the Mt. Gay Rum Distillery for a tour. Our ship is in until 5pm. Is this realistic on time? Are there showers at the Boatyard so we can rinse off and change? Anyone know what the taxi time and cost would be to Mt. Gay from the Boatyard?
