Maputo

We have 1 day in Maputo in March' 15. We have booked the ship's 3.5 hours city highlights. Is this 'sufficient' for Maputo or are there interesting sights...Do we need a guide? Thank you. Paula.

Yes, that is sufficient for Maputo. I would take a tour and not try to do this city on your own. The drivers are horrendous. You are better off doing the city tour than trying to do one of the safaris. You spend more time going and getting to the park than you do seeing the animals.

You are welcome. Once you visit Africa, you will want to go back again. We are planning for next year with friends, but will do a land tour rather than a cruise. The cruise gave us a taste that whetted our appetite for more.:eek:
