Oscar Party Onboard?

I just noticed that the Academy Awards are the first night of our cruise (Sun Feb 22) on Pride. Does anyone know if Carnival ships ever do any sort of Oscars viewing party? I’m guessing this is a “depends on your CD” type of thing, but figured I’d ask if anyone has sailed on Oscar night in the past and remembers there being anything special. I’m not a huge movie buff, so if there’s nothing planned, I am not going to spend the night in my room watching the awards ceremony, but if they have a viewing party in one of the lounges, that would be a fun evening activity.

I don't remember if they had it playing anywhere but when we went they did have "Oscars trivia" that night

I would think that the only place you would see the Oscars is on the TV in your cabin. May be a bar somewhere if there is nothing else on TV.

i know I am bumping an old post, but I have this same question for this year. Years ago we were on the Grand Princess for the Oscars, and they played them in the big theater and had a party with a red carpet. Haven't seen anything similar, but a few years ago they did have a similar type party for the Super Bowl. Anyone else have any Oscar experience on Carnival?

It was a couple of years ago. They had it in one of the lounges. It was fun to be watching with other guests that enjoyed it. :)

I'm on the Miracle on Oscar night and would love to watch the show either with a group or in my cabin. Crossing my fingers they have an 'Oscar Party' on board.
