we were there last yr , the island is small so it doesnt take long to get around i think its 45min to an hour to do the grand tour , we shopped in philipsburgh in the AM , then took a cab to marigot for 15$ we walked around at the outdoor market then we took a cab to orient bay for another 15$ spent the after noon there at Orange Fever ( you can get 2 drinks 2 chairs for 12$ i think it is , then we took another cab back to the ship !

best part was orient bay for sure !

We will be cruising to Saint Maarten for first time in June. Need suggestions on best, safest way to travel to French side. Is it worth our time having never been to Saint Maarten? How long will the trip take?

Thanks

Taxi is a quick and easy mode of transportation from the port. Is there a specific place you would like to visit on the French side such as the town of Marigot or the village of Grand Case or a certain beach?
