They do but with a limited selection. Prices are by the carton and are very reasonable compared to US (no taxes to worry about) Can't quote prices as I quit some time ago but I believe they had Marlboro Red's for like $58 for 2 cartons. I do remember that they did not carry my brand, Camel Lights, when I smoked.

I think they were $5.75 per pack. Cartons are cheap but brands are limited.

I don't remember them selling "packs" onboard, just cartons.

Yea some do. I even turned a women on to them when I was sitting at a bar smoking when she asked for one due to running out just before boarding and not wanting to buy a carton.

She was thrilled.

Not sure what ship I was on though.

Hubby got a 5 carton bundle of marbarlo for $128 in march

Did ya have to pay duty on them? I see the bundles offered but figure with a duty charge, it would now be same price as I pay here.

I am guessing that it is a hit and miss with the agent just waving one thru or wanting to collect some money.

he buys them on the ship... So we figure they know we bought them.... I declare them on the sheet.... But we have not been asked to pay duty on them.

One time he bought a bundle and so did I, as well as both persons In our party, I declared them... Never even questioned about them..... I keep waiting for them to send me a bill..lol

Have read that no one really checks. Not sure how many suitcases Customs checks but if it's not declared on your form who knows. Our friends luggage was checked by Customs and they were over the limit on bottles of liquor allowed. The agent waived them thru with a warning.

Does anyone know if they sell cigarettes on board the ship. If they do does anyone know the price?

I guess it depends on the ship. I have purchased single packs at the casino bar and others. Don't remember the price though. They didn't have MB Ultra lights but only lights. I just stock up before I leave. I'm not that desperate to buy a whole carton or two whatever the price.

Five cartons for $125. You cannot beat that price. I live in CT and pay almost $9 per pack.

You do the math:eek::eek::eek:

Usually bring 10 cartons home.

Never claimed them on duty form.

Never been caught.

We have bought the cartons for about $28-$30 each on board. This is half of what they cost here in Florida. Even if you buy 10 cartons, you are allowed 200 cigarettes (1 carton) duty free. If they see you have declared more than that I believe it is $10 per carton of duty owed. Still being $40 a carton is $20 less than what I would pay for a carton. Of course it would be great if I could find a painless way to quit..I know!

The cigarettes from Cozumel, did they taste the same as USA cigarettes? I know some cigarettes from other countries taste different according to my friends I have brought them back for. I'm heading to Cozumel, belize, roatan in a few weeks and will pick up Marlboros for them if they seem the same. Thanks in advance for your help.

Some, what I hope, will be helpful information. If you buy on board customs can know as there is a record of how many you purchased. If you purchase off ship there is no way to know the amount you bought. Having said that, if you do not declare them and you are caught there will be fines greater than the $10 tax.

Last trip out of Galveston I bought 4 cartons on the first day of the trip. Hubby does not smoke. I declared them and when disembarking was told "you know you can only bring one carton each" My response was, " yes sir, we purchased two each at the beginning of the cruise. Some of those have been smoked" I was waved through.
