Good eats

We'll be on our cruise in January & hadn't planned on debarking in Progresso. However if anyone knows of a great restaurant to eat/drink at that's within walking distance of the ship we may change our minds.

Anyone?? :)

I do not think there are any "great" restaurants within walking distance from the center of Progreso. However, when we go into Progreso on non-cruise ship days, we will eat at Flamingos, about four blocks east of the pier. Flamingos has good Yucatanean/Mexican food at reasonable prices. They usually have good, local fresh fish. If we want to have a drink and eat botanas (little snacks) we go to Eladios, just to the east of the pier. If you want great food you have to go to Merida or one of the five star haciendas.
