A day with a beach & Pool in Playa Del Carmen/Calica

Help please! We've done all the regular stuff and now we just want a beach and a pool (drinks nice but not a must) in a taxi drive away from the pier in Calica. There has to be someone who has just enjoyed a relaxing day off of the ship without going to the ruins, underwater caves etc. :o We leave in a few days

Kool has a decent sized pool and a nice sandy beach. It's just north of downtown PDC so have your taxi drop you at 28th & the beach. There are many great beach clubs right downtown, but I "think" all of the downtown clubs with a pool reserve the pool for condo guests only.

If you can live without the pool, try Wicky's Beach club next to the lighthouse (El Faro) on the beach downtown.

Does Wicky's charge for Chairs or do you just need to purchase food and drink?

They expect you to spend 100 pesos per person (about 8 bucks) on food/drink.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like we might try Wicky's beach the grill menu looks good.

Just wanted to add, I used cash when I was there. I don't know if they take credit cards or not. I generally never use CC's in the Carib except for major expenses.
