dblane Posted December 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2012 How much for a taxi to Sapphire Beach Marina from the cruise docks?
CaroleSS Posted December 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2012 This site say $10 each http://www.**********/stthomas/getting_around_stt/taxi_stt/ if there are at lest two of you. The taxi rates are controlled by the government, so I doubt there's much room to negotiate unless you are doing some type of tour.

DDD06 Posted December 19, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2012 It appears taxis are readily available at the cruise terminal, is that also true for other locations, specifically Magen's? Is it easy to catch a taxi back to the cruise terminal?
CaroleSS Posted December 19, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Although we haven't been, I've read that taxi's know just where people will congregate and will be available most (if not all) of the time. I would even go so far as to say that they'll especially be available closer to the time the ships are scheduled to leave. Remember that they don't make money unless they have a fare. No doubt you won't have any problem finding a taxi! When we go somewhere, we usually ask our taxi driver to come get us at a designated time then give a decent tip. Not once has the taxi driver disappointed us! :)
laser110 Posted December 21, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2012 Taxi for one person will be $13. If you have more than one than it will be $10 each. At the cruise ship piers, both WICO and Crown Bay, taxi's are plentiful and easy to find. Same will be true at the popular locations such as Magen's Bay. Often, a driver will ask if you would like him to come back for you and most are happy to do so at an arranged time. It won't change the fare, but some people feel more comfortable knowing they will have a definate ride back to their ship. Scott
