sports4fun Posted October 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2007 We are cruising out of Port Canaveral. Do you think we will be able to make an 11: 30am flight for the way home out of Orlando ? Also we will need a reliable shuttle service to get us to the airport. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
David4 Posted October 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2007 We used Arts Shuttle and did the self disembarktion. We were off the ship by 7:15am to meet Arts Shuttle and was at the airport by 8:10am. Google Arts Shuttle to get the phone number. We used them both ways, the driver met us at the baggage claim and drove us to the ship and when we got off the ship the driver was waiting for us. The vans were nothing fancy but got us to and from the ship safly.
amybear912 Posted October 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2007 You can also check Port Canaveral's own website: www.portcanaveral.org a wealth of information for cruisers out of port canaveral... including a comprehensive list of transportation options... you might be better off renting a car... Arrange to be off the ship early and you should have no problem making your flight...
JanineM Posted October 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2007 I have used Arts Shuttle several times. www dot artsshuttle dot com While renting a car can be convenient, too, the only downside is that you have to get from the ship to the rental agency, then drop the car off at the airport and do the check-in thing. Depending on traffic, weather conditions and the week you are traveling, you will probably be okay for an 11:30 flight. If there is an accident on the Beachline you could be held up a bit. And the Orlando airport tends to be much busier on holiday weekends. Sometimes you can be through security in 10 minutes; other times it is 45. Woody Posted October 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2007 We just came back Oct 21, 2007 and used Cocoa Beach Shuttle service $55 for 2 each way and less expensive per person the more people you have 4 people $75. They were there at the airport and even called my cell when our plane arrived 30 min early to say they could take us right away. There were waiting for us when we disembarked from the ship, we had a 11:30 flight as well. We got beige 2 departue tags so were off the ship at 7:30, got to the airport about 8:30. The drivers were very friendly. Try this link. http://www.cbshuttle.com/rates.htm
