For Semarang, the big thing to do is to take an excursion to Borobudor. If you can, and you haven't been there before, I highly recommend it.

We did the ship's tour to Borobudor. It was about a 3 hour trip both ways and required a police escort to get through the traffic. :eek:

Borobudor was an experience that was made memorable by a great English speaking guide who explained the details of the site. We also enjoyed an excellent local cuisine buffet at the Hotel overlooking the site. The trip to and from Borobudor was an experience in itself.:D
