beargal Posted May 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2009 We are looking forward to it too! Friday we went shoe shopping and bought some new comfy shoes that should hold up for lots of walking. The tours we want are reserved, hotels reconfirmed and starting to pull out clothes to pack! Rebecca

SusanNJ Posted May 3, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Our travel agent arranged for a winery tour in Slovenia. The only other one that I want to do is in Kotor. I understand the drive is sensational. I have an idea what I want to see in Split. We like to meander and I think we'll wander aimlessly in the other ports. See you at the sky bar. We'll buy you a drink. Ha, ha!

ricklieb Posted May 15, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Predjame Castle (Koper) was recently featured in the TV show Ghost Hunters International. My wife is fan of the show. We have arranged a custom excursion with Seabourn. As well as the the standard tour of the castle it includes a private tour of the caves (the "haunted" part) with a "special guide who was part of the filming". The tour company that Seabourn uses does not have vehicles smaller than vans. As long as we have extra room, we were wondering if anybody would be interested in joining us and sharing the cost. Missabby Posted May 16, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 16, 2009 Does anyone know what a local telephone call costs in Venice from a public phone?
Seabourn-nail Posted May 17, 2009 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2009 To where? How long? I think you can afford it. You can also use your cell phone. Well, mine works all over the world. Marja
Missabby Posted May 18, 2009 #10 Share Posted May 18, 2009 We just need to make a very short call to our B&B in Castello when we arrive at the San Zaccaria vaporetto dock.
