Golfingmoron Posted July 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2015 You know, this is the prime rib from their MDR on the night of departure (July 12, 2015) - Day 1. I can't say or expect the best quality but may be room for improvements? The quality improved over the length of the cruise but I guess I cannot show how bad it is with just a picture. My wife's prime rib was chewy at best.
cb at sea Posted July 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Yeah, prime rib can be fatty...really depends on the cut you get. Not everyone can get the "prime" slice!!!
Golfingmoron Posted August 2, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Probably not the accidental bad prime cut issue. The ocean view cafe / buffet restaurant had the prime rib there days later and saw the actual prime rib being sliced off etc. Flank steak at the MDR was similar. The New York Sirloin was good consistently and also served at a good temperature. May be it is our luck and we just made it a point to remember as it was just as bad. Recognizing that it is my personal opinion, it did not remind me of the Celebrity Cruises that was rated top tier in this website earlier and certainly far from the Celebrity Cruise quality that I used to know when I first joined Captain's Club and had to actually pay $50 to join.
