taxi fare to valley church

Can any one let me what to expect to pay in a taxi to valley church beach for 2 adults 1 child aged 8.

Have been quoted $64 from Gordon in Antigua.

Looking for the same info. I saw that amount, as well. I know Antigua is high but that sounds too high.

In 2011, it was $32 each way for 1-3 people, for a van with more than 3, it was $8 per person. If $64 is round trip, it's consistent.

How many were in your cab? Did you like Valley Church? Is the beach sandy and the water entry gradual?

There were 7 of us in the cab.

I loved Valley Church beach however entry into the water could be problematic for anyone with mobility issues. The sand is not very fine so as you enter the water it collapses under you. I had no issues with that but I saw at least three people getting into the water by sitting down to avoid that. Also it was a bit difficult to get out .

The visibility is not great but it seems to be there same anywhere in Antigua ir fine particles suspended in the water.

We paid $50 round trip for four people. On the way back the driver added a few people to fill the van.
