First visit, what to do?

This is the first time I will visit Antigua and would like suggestions from ppl who have visited more than once and have an idea for what's best to do. 2 adults ladies. Is it safe to go with a local or take a cruise tour? I love beaches, some shopping and seeing anything interesting especially relating to food and drink. Not a fan of historical or religious stuff.

Get a cab at the dock & go to a beach & enjoy, all the beaches are awesome.

A very fun and easy thing to do is to take a catamaran excursion with a beach stop offered by the ship! :D

For our first time there we opted for the ship sponsored Island Tour and enjoyed it very much. We stopped at scenic look-outs and a little fishing village. Really glad we took the tour. Now when we go there we just go to the beach.

I agree with LuLu. When we were in Antigua we took a catamaran excursion and enjoyed ourselves.
