Deep Bay .. can we walk and what facilities are there?

Searched but couldn't find the answers to this...

Can we walk safely from the cruise ship to Deep Bay beach? (it looks to be about 3 miles) Not sure if there is a safe path ?

Once we get there .. does anyone have any recommendations?

We are considering Darkwood as a taxi alternative? Again, any recommendations?

Also if anyone has any specific questions that they want answering on these topics I will try to find out the answers and post when I am back in February.

I suppose if you wanted a 3-mile walk, then you could walk it. Public roads all the way, no sidewalks anywhere, up a slope then down again. But remember, it's 3 miles back again and it will likely be hot. While there, you could look at a climb up to Ft. Barrington on top of the hill. Methinks you might want to take a look at a bus or taxi down to Turner's Beach instead.

We taxied there and back a few years ago. The driver insisted on being paid when he picked us up at a set time. Lovely beach.
