ellasmomanddad Posted October 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I was so excited too read in the paper this morning the cruise port in salem ma was almost finished. It reported that mid sized ships will dock there. I couldnt be more excited. ahecht Posted October 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2014 FYI: midsized is defined as up to 800 feet long and a maximum capacity of 2,250 people, crew included, which means that among the major cruise lines, the only one that has ships that could dock would be Holland America. ellasmomanddad Posted October 6, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Well then welcome holland america. It looks to me like it will be the stop before bar harbor me for the fall foliage cruises. They usually start in nova Scotia or end there with stops in bar harbor and newport ri

The new one is the Footprint dock around the corner and can take up to 800 ft ships, the first being the 650-ft Seaborn Quest which is docking on the 19th: http://www.salemnews.com/news/local_news/article_f0a4b12c-b291-5028-ae76-656484a93d4c.html Edited October 11, 2014 by ahecht
