New Orleans hotel with view of ships?

Hi all!

Will be sailing out of New Orleans in May.

Are there any hotels that have a view (from your room) of the port/ships when they arrive in the morning or while they are docked?

Our last cruise out of NOLA, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and could see the Conquest when we looked out our window that morning. So exciting! We will definitely be staying there the next time we cruise from NOLA.

The Hilton Riverfront is you best chance to see the ships coming up the river and departing and see the pier. A couple of the others might allow you to see part of the superstructure of the ships after they are docked.

To watch the river, book the Hilton and specify river view. Canal St Marriott mentions river views, but it is very limited and you won't see much/any of the river traffic.
