Family Friendly Hotel in New Orleans

Looking for a family friendly location for a pre-cruise hotel. I looked at expedia and priceline but I don't know what the best locations are called. Can anyone tell me the area I need to be looking up?

I would like to be within walking distance of restaurants and my wife would like to be able to catch the trolley. She is wanting some beignets (sorry if I spelled it wrong) as well. We don't want to spend more than $150 per night and that is pushing it.

Hilton Riverside. There is a Trolley stop right outside. It's also walking distance to the French Quarter. Cafe De Monde has as stand right on the Riverwalk. It's alsoclose enough to walk to the main location.

We stayed there with our 9 & 8 year old no problems.
