mickeyd Posted June 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2017 We are booked on a 14 night New Zealand cruise in January on Radiance, and would like to dine at Specialty restaurants 4 nights. There is a considerable saving to be had booking the 4 Night Dining Package vs booking each individually, but you only get to choose a time for day 1 or 2. We will be travelling with our kids (who do well dining at nice restaurants), so would ideally like to be eating early - around 6pm. Does anyone have any experience on how difficult it is to book specific times once onboard? I'm hoping that over the 14 nights we would be able to find suitable times for the other 3 meals - but would we be better biting the bullet and booking them all at full price? Ski-Lady Posted June 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2017 You shouldn't have any problem booking any of the nights. We have booked numerous times and have always gotten a time within 15 minutes of the time we wished. We usually like a popular time of 7:00-7:30. I would guess with an early time of 6:00 you wouldn't have any problems especially if you booked soon after boarding on the first day.

El Abuelo Posted June 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 15, 2017 We just cruised with a large family and felt they actually preferred to have children earlier. We found no available times at 7:30 but 6 to 6:30 was easy. Our children ate from the adult menu, and dinner at Giovanni's table was most enjoyable.
