I just booked with Garry Jollymore, who comes highly recommended by a CCer who toured with him in November. I don't believe he has a website, but if you e-mail him, he will give you tour descriptions and prices. garryjollymore@eastlink.ca We're doing a five-hour Halifax and Peggy's Cove tour for $200 total (six people = $33.33 per person).

Have you taken the tour and if so how was it?

I've done the NE cruise 6 times and finally got to Peggy's Cove on the last Princess Cruise this year Oct 22.

We've rented cars over the years in just about every port. Halifax is real easy and close to get a car. Cost about $50 dollars for the day. They give you local maps and direction to get to Peggy's Cove. The trip was easy and took about three hours start to finish. We drove back and used the car for another few hours checking out Halifax. We were back on board in time for the RCMP band's proformance.

Peggy's Cove is worth the trip. Here's a few photo's...

There are a few nice shops if you walk the town. If you take the bus you may miss those shops unless you take the time to walk back down the road.

See you all on my 7th NE cruise next year....

I was on the Veendam, Sept 3rd to 10th. I did an extended ship tour to Peggy's Cove. While there are other dining options available, if you get the chance and like delicious food and fast service - I highly recommend the 'hot dog lady'. She was super friendly and has a cart with a variety of gourmet dogs. It was my first visit to Peggy's Cove, which I loved!

A Oops photo didn't upload :(
