Athens: New Express bus line: Piraeus cruise ship terminal - Athens center / X80

Does anyone know if the X80 Express is running and if so will it still be available on 11/17/15

There are more recent posts about it which state that it IS running this summer. However, it appeared to be stopped last winter, so I don't know whether it will still be running in November.

Any suggestions how to find out if it will be running Oct 6th?

If not how to take the metro from the port in?

There will be 6 of us and am not interested in paying for 2 separate taxis.

Maybe try to find a tourist info website where you could email about it. I looked at the bus website but it was a bit confusing. Not sure if I'll use it on our very early Oct. stop but if I do I can hopefully report back before you go. I would guess it would still be running in October. I think it was stopped in December last year when cruise ship visits were probably few.

Metro isn't that hard from what I can tell, but I was surprised at how long the whole trip took, at least if you want to go to the Acroplis...requires a transfer and all. Basically you hug the port for a while or take a bus to the "Elekricko" station, then subway in to athens, transferring at one point.
