1st Time Princess Cruise

Hello to everyone! I want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful information that I have found on this website. My husband and I will be on the Diamond Princess September 3, 2005 along with 3 other couples. This is my first time with Princess. I have cruised 5 times with Carnival. I have a question regarding the shops in Ketchikan. We are there just a short time and arrive early. Do the shops open early? We have booked a fishing charter in Juneau and the train in Skagway so my shopping time is limited. Are shops located close to the cruise dock at these places.

The shops open and close around the cruise ship schedule so yes, there will be shops open - and yes, they are near the ship.
