bazzaw Posted January 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2012 2 questions please for any Cunarder who has arrived at Frihamnen Port (Stockholm) . 1. Does anybody (Cunard or Port Authority) provide a shuttle into the city that does not require the possession of Swedish Kroner? 2. Does Cunard QV carry Swedish Kroner? Thanks Barry
BlueRiband Posted January 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2012 You might try asking on Cunard's Facebook page if you can't get a definative answer here. I've seen people post questions and somebody from Cunard answers.
bazzaw Posted February 22, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Just bumping this thread to the top again - especially interested to find out if Cunard provide any kind of shuttle into Stockholm ( it is a fair way from the city) Thanks Barry
EJMcruiser Posted February 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2012 The shuttle bus was free when we were there and provided by Cunard (about 20 mins). If that has change you can always walk to "Gardet" which is the closest underground station and buy a day-pass for just over 100 SEK. We used the cash point in the cruise terminal provided by a major Swedish bank. They also had SEK onboard but the rate was quite poor. If you have time, stop for a coffee and a traditional Swedish cinnamon roll in this cafe called "Kaffekoppen" just behind the Royal Palace (address; Stortorget 20). Really lovely place in the heart of the Old Town.
