Silver Spirit in Venice

Agree. You fetch your luggage at a customs station very nearby and can take a water taxi to the airport, or, as we did, take the vaporetto to the train station. Now, if it's just a port stop, the vaporetto nearby will take you to St. Mark's Square... unless you decide to walk, which we did, sort of zig-zagging several interesting streets, up and down bridges, for about 15 minutes. It was wonderful!!

Wondering if someone could tell me where in Venice the Spirit docks? Thanks!!

We were in venice last year on the Wind which docked at Basilio, I believe thats the spelling. Spirit was also in port but docked at Maritime . It is easier from/to the airport but a little less handy to walk into the city.Either way it is magic to be in that city.

We're staying in The Dorsoduro prior to the cruise so either location works well for us.

just on the off chance for anyone who might be in Venice before this cruise, we now have 1 spare ticket for La Traviata at La Fenice on the evening of Tuesday 15th September. Stalls seat , face value E180.

I would like to see it go to a good home.
