La Romana Excursion

We are struggling terribly with finding something to do in La Romana. It will be me, my dh, and my 6 1/2 year old daughter. We are not finding anything on the Carnival Excursion page and we have started searching out for something else to do. We are going to the beach at every other port so we would like something more nature-like in La Romana.

We found this excursion… any thoughts on it? Has anyone gone on it?

We've done the Saona Island excursion - is that the one you are pointing out? It was great - we loved the boat ride, the beach was absolutely stunning, the starfish shallow area was very cool.

The Saona Island Special with Seavis Tours is an exceptional day. You're in a smaller, faster boat and you have a chance to see much of the natural beauty around the Bayahibe, Dominicus, and Saona Island areas. 20 min taxi each way is coordinated by Seavis, and they are very in tune with the Carnival dock times (they sometimes change) and compensate for any changes. Definitely a fun, nice day, our favorite day on that itinerary!

Pro Excursions is another excellent local excursion company, both top notch outfits out of Bayahibe.

My wife and I are going with Seavis next May. Anyone been before know what kind of facilities there are on the island where you stop for beach and lunch? Restrooms & Showers?

Open air buffet and restrooms, the rice, chicken and fish were excellent. You're back on the ship in plenty of time to shower before departing. ;)
