Transportation to beach

Is there a trolly near the port that you can catch and will drop you off at/near a beach? We are going in september with our 6yr old and 16month old and not bringing a carseat. This will be our 3rd time to san juan and have done both forts and walked around but want to try the beaches there.

The trolley only goes around Old San Juan. You will need to take a taxi to the beach.

The public bus will take you to the beach area.

Thank you. I will look into it. Just out of curiosity how is the bus system there? We live in los angeles and dont do busses here.
