Does anyone know how much a cab can be for the day?

Usually it's $36 an hour to hire a cab for long periods. For that price you might as well try renting a car. Driving in Puerto Rico is just about the same as any other state in the US. San Juan is like any major metropolitan area. The amount of traffic depends on the day of the week and time of day. You can also try to contact one of several tour operators either online or at the pier for a private hire. More than likely it will be cheaper than renting a taxi for the day.

You will save a ton of money by renting a car. What part of the mountains are you planning to get lost at?

planning to get lost in Cayey I know that day they are not going to have music.And I know ponce is not play music that day.

I rented a compact car from Avis for $13. About $20 with fees. Used my Costco card. Driving there is very easy.

Thanks for your help. I was thinking about back out of doing this. Because I was thinking to rent the car for the day and to take a cab would cost me $150.
