San Diego to SeaTac or parts north?

We are in the planning stages of a family vacation that will take us from San Diego to an Alaskan Cruise in July 2006. We will be traveling on the Sapphire Princess. We are leaning toward driving our motorhome up to the Pacific Northwest, flying to Fairbanks (embarkation) and at the conclusion get from Vancouver BC back to the motorhome. Anyone have any information on where we could park a motorhome for 12 - 13 days? We are looking around SeaTac. We also would like information on boarding our mini daschund for the same amount of time. Anyone know of a reputable boarder in the area?

Incidentally our return trip will be along the coast through Washington/Oregon/California. Anyone have any advice on routes in a 33' MH?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You won't be embarking in Fairbanks, I'll assume you are looking at a cruisetour? Since you seem so independent, I would instead suggest an RV rental out of Anchorage. Would definately be superior to a cruisetour for independence and the ability to see and do your priorities. Very very simple driving and plenty of camping.

From Seatac/Vancouver easy to get a one way car rental. Look at National, Avis, Alamo, Hertz, Budget, all have downtown Vancouver offices. There is long term parking at Seatac, but also consider some of the off lot car rentals perhaps for a cheaper option? You may want to contact some RV dealers in Seattle? As for the dog, look at kennels, should be no shortage, if there are some pet message boards perhaps they could offer recommendations?
