Golf? Canary Islands???

Has anyone golfed in any of the Canary Islands while in port? If so...please give me all of the info you can share. Which island? Which course? How was it? How far was it...time/$ from the cruise pier? Do they have "riding carts"? Would you play it again?

The oldest golf course in the Canaries is the one in Bandama in Gran Canaria. There is also a golf course in the south in Maspalomas.

In Tenerife there is a course near Los Rodeos airport in the north of the island. There is another, Golf Del Sur near Playa las Americas.

I have never played golf, but I understand they are fairly expensive courses. One of the things that contributes to that is the climate as they use a lot of water to keep them green.

I would imagine you could play on a cruise port day.
