FireEater Posted October 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2015 Once I purchase a 1 bedroom, I know I have the annual maintenance fee. Other then that, what does one have to pay for? Dinners at the restaurant? Drinks both non alcoholic and alcoholic? Use of the gym? The toys offered once at a port? Excursions at ports I assume I pay. Is it like purchasing a home? Any service/meal normal living experience to survive the same?

Everything you consume on the ship (restaurants, bars, the deli (small shop) comes off that allowance. If you don't spend it all the balance is forfeited at the end of the year. Gym no. Toys? The only 'toys' are bikes, kayaks and small catamarans. Port experiences (shore excursions) yes. On expeditions most experiences are included (except things like helicopter flights). We were onboard last August September as guests of a resident for the East Greenland Expedition. AMAZING.
