Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus

Has anyone stayed at this hotel?

I'm booking 8 nights, and we have a ton of Hilton points.

I've received excellent advice on another thread about local hotels, which I appreciate greatly.

DH is kind of going with "we have so many Hilton points".

It wouldn't, generally speaking, be my choice to stay in a big chain. But having looked at the location and read some reviews, it doesn't sound like a bad choice if you're going to be using points.

Normally I'd urge you to consider Sultanahmet area, but if you're going to be in Istanbul for a week, you should be able to get around and see everything without any rush.

I stayed in that hotel years ago and it was very nice, but after another bombing in Istanbul yesterday and one in Cairo this morning I would imagine cruise ships will not stop there now.

We won't be going by ship, so we will be able to make our own decision.

Our planned trip is not until July 2017, we'll see what it looks like closer to time.
