Independent Tour Company Information

Hello everyone! Has anyone reading this ever booked a tour in Progreso through shoreexcursionsgroup.com? I have already booked a tour for my upcoming trip - a beach break - paid what I consider a good price (less than half the price of Carnival's all-inclusive beach break), received confirmation of payment, instructions and the document to present to the tour operator very quickly, etc., but I would like to know if the beach the tour will be taking us to is at the Technotel resort or another all-inclusive. The paperwork mentions the tour operator will be holding a sign saying "Iguana Maya," but I cannot locate a resort online with that name. The tour is paid for and I plan to go; just very curious about the quality of the beach (and food and drinks) where I will be spending my day in about a week! My class is celebrating our 35-year high school reunion by cruising on the Carnival Triumph sailing out of Galveston October 11!

I'll be on this same cruise. I would love to know the answer as well. I plan on booking with autoprogreso to go to trchnotel but have heard bad reviews about the excursion. Bad food etc...

The Shore Group and the Autoprogreso tours are exactly the same. Same place, same buses, etc.

How did it work out? Im thinking of booking through autopreso. Went with the resort through the ship last year but this looks like it might be different.

Shore Excursioneer seems to have much better pricing and much better reviews than Excursion Group.

Seems to be the ONE resort in the area. I agree, price is much better...
