winwinwin Posted July 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2015 I can't remember all the exact names but the shows were like this in July 4th sailing: - 1st night: Welcome show with short examples of upcoming shows (a few songs, an illusionist) and introduction of the ship directors - 2nd night: Shout - the musical (did not attend) - 3rd night: The illusionist show (great!) - 4th night: An acrobat show (this was the greatest!!! - a beautiful story told with stunning life threatening acrobacy) - 5th night: a multi-instrumentalist (did not attend) - 6th night: Elements -show (involving lots of the earlier performers: dancers, illusionist, acrobats) - 7th night: Ancora singing a blend of opera, show music and pop (just found an example of the show here: - even though the video seems to have (mostly) different singers than on Jade in our sailing)
edin_cruiser Posted July 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2015 hi can anyone tell me what nightly shows have been on in the theatre on jade in the last few weeks please. These were the shows on the June 20th sailing Night 1: Welcome aboard (Standard first night ice breaker) Night 2: Acrobats (Bored me to death, not my thing, but most seemed to love it) Night 3: Shout (Musical, very UK based, appreciated by British cruisers. Loved this) Night 4: David and Abi Haines (Illusionists, loved it, best show of the cruise) Night 5: Beatles tribute (Loved this) Night 6: Elements (Includes the entire cast, David and Abi and the acrobats, plus they bring the crew members out to receive some well deserved applause at the end) Night 7: Niels Dekker juggling (Missed this one, was at the karaoke finals instead)

littlelulu01 Posted August 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2015 nice to see the list of entertainment what time are the shows everynight? I thought that info might be on the FAQs on the NCL website but I couldnt find it 7:30 & 9:30 on my recent sailing. Shows did vary a little each week. For example atrium bar singer and band the same each week but one week it was so and so duo for an evening act and the next week it was another couple for a similar act. Froggitt Posted August 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) The seats in the Jade theatre are the most uncomfortable I've sat on in an NCL theatre. Edited August 1, 2015 by Froggitt
asda Posted August 2, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Thanks everyone for replies. On your recent cruises from venice did you use the people mover or taxi from plaza de Roma to cruise port (how much was taxi)? And what time did you go to port? bookworm61 Posted August 2, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Just got back and the shows were (not necess. in this order) 1: a sampler of the different acts 2: an american idol type show with 4 singers (NCL cast members playing roles) 3: Haines Magic 4: Oh What a Night - Frankie Vallee tribute 5: Elements- a cirque type show 6: Something I missed :) 7: Spanish dancers ballet/flamenco I found the seats very comfortable. The shows were generally 7:30 and 9:30. I think it was 7:30 and 9:45 for Elements and the night of Santorini, just one show at 9, that we didn't get to. We took the train from florence on the day of cruise. Got off train in mestre which was about a 20 minute ride at a cost of 35 euro. Did this because we had too many bags to hassle with. Train arrived in mestre at 10:20 am. We were on the ship at about 11 am.
