Today's LA Times reports that the repositioning of the southernmost runway at LAX may result in (more!) delays. It's even possible that delays will build to the point that planes won't be allowed to leave other airports on their way to LAX!! You may want to explore flying into Long Beach (LGB), Orange County (SNA), or even, as a last-ditch plan, Ontario (ONT) or San Diego (SAN). The work will go on almost forever, so you may want to activate the e-mail notification system your airline has for delays/cancellations. There were other articles recently about the "zoo-like" conditions in the International Terminal, so it looks like things will go from bad to worse this summer.
