Did it in Nassau. The boats are akin to a glass bottom boat. But instead of looking down through the bottom, you sit below the surface and look out windows to the side. Which you probably are already aware. Anyway. It seemed like a nifty idea. The only problem was there isn't much to see in Nassau where they run the excursion. But GT is known for better snorkeling, so I would be inclined to try it again there.

I did this in Grand Turk through Carnival.

The team that runs this excursion is great. Very informative and funny. They share stories both above and in the water so you learn a bit about the island and what you are looking at. Just note, you have to take a little boat to get to the sub, and depending on where you sit, you may get wet.

The sub (and glass windows) were very clean and the AC is great.

The captain even goes into the water near the end to feed the fish near the sub, allowing some great up close pictures of fish.
